Barbury wasn’t all about Andreas as the five year olds came for the young event horse class. Having put in good performances at Badminton with Bert in the saddle and being placed at Chepstow last week with myself we were all keen to see how Bird performed at Barbury. Bert and Bird put in a foot perfect performance and finished in 11th place, just missing out on the top ten. I rode Jenny and David Watts Napoleon and Lorna Soames Zaldaltus and both horses put in admirable performances in a large class.  Photo of Bert and Bird who always look so stylish together.
