Helen Martin Profile
Helen has been riding and competing for over 20 years with her competitive career focusing on Eventing – which combines all three disciplines of Dressage, Show Jumping and Cross Country.
Having gained a BSc at University, and afterwards spending several years in Project Management, she realised that her true ambition was to persue Eventing as her career, and to become a recognised coach for the sport.
She attained her coaching qualification as a BHSI and in 2006 was awarded the title of BHS Young Instructor of the year. Helen has also been awarded an ABRS scholarship for promising young instructors and is a British Eventing Accredited Coach.
Career To Date
Helen’s competition career has so far included:
- Competing at CCI*** level Eventing at the Young Rider National Championships at Bramham
- Competing at Advanced level at British Eventing,
- A member of the British Universities Student Equestrian Team, being placed individually at International level
- Winning at Advanced Medium level at British Dressage
- Winner of the Winergy Young Event Rider Academy and Bursary
Helen has achieved her success by training and producing the horses herself, and being responsible for all aspects of their training and welfare. This approach, coupled with the excellent facilities she has established, is what enables her to offer the high standards of livery, tuition and riding that Stockley Farm is renowned for.
